As a network marketer, you’ve probably already heard about email lists. But when you’re pressed for time and resources, it’s easy to put them on the back burner.

I’m here to tell you to start pushing the priority back up your to-do list! You know that competition is fierce, so it’s all about engagement with your network, building your audience, and setting up a sales funnel that works for you even when you’re sleeping.

And guess what the common denominator is in all of those? You guessed it, an email list.

5 Reasons Network Marketers Should Have An Email List

Is there really a benefit to email lists for network marketers?

Whether or not you already use social media, the number one thing you have to remember is that social platforms can change at the drop of a hat. There have been plenty of times where people have had their groups/pages/accounts closed with no warning and it’s perfectly legal for social media platforms to do this.

And then where will your business be? It’s important to have an email list, something that is yours that can actually ensure a steady cash flow!

But that’s not the only reason for an email list! If you’re still not convinced, here are several more…

Cut Out The Noise

Social media platforms are full of distractions taking the focus away from your message, and that’s if your posts are even getting through. Many platforms are using algorithms and barriers to prioritize paid content which makes it difficult to even reach your audience!

With an email list, however, you’re delivering straight to their inbox and as they have already opted in you know they’re interested. You’ve immediately cut the noise between what you’re trying to say, and whether or not they’re hearing it. Then it just becomes a matter of tweaking your message!

Everyone Needs Email

Whether we like it or not. In this digital world, we rely on email communication. From work and shopping to accounts and verification our emails are our door to all things online.

This means we can’t ignore checking our inboxes (even if we wanted to.) It’s just the new normal. Which is why email is still one of the best ways to try and reach your audience.

It has the highest chance to be opened and read when compared to other touchpoints, meaning people are more likely to see your updates, news, insights, promotions, and discounts. It’s a perfect way to nurture prospects that aren’t ready to buy just yet. Just find the right time that your audience is online.

Enhance Your Personal Brand

Standing out and connecting rather than just relying on the brand you represent is the key to success among network marketers. It’s all about putting your own voice and stamp on things!

With email lists, you have a lot more freedom to create highly targeted campaigns that barely cost a thing (bye-bye ad costs!) Plus you get plenty of insight and analytics into your audience to test and tweak what doesn’t work. Ultimately, you make your personal brand better to stand out from the crowd.

Nurture, Nurture, Nurture

Not every person is ready to buy something from you when they first discover you. And that’s completely okay! But that doesn’t mean you want them to just drop off the face of the earth. There was a reason they were interested, to begin with.

Depending on the cost of your product or service it can actually take several interactions before someone chooses to purchase, so you want to stay in the front of their minds when they are ready to make that decision.

Email lists keep your potential leads close so that you can develop a relationship with them until they are ready to buy. And can I let you into a secret? Some people never buy a high ticket item, but they’ll fall in love with your brand and do some of your marketing for you by referring you to their friends anyway!

It Doesn't Have To Be Hard

One of the things that really puts network marketers off of creating email lists is that it’s too hard or complicated. But it doesn’t have to be (so stop putting it off!).

Start by letting previous customers or clients know you have a list and how to keep in touch with you. Make a post about it on social media and reach out to those who might have messaged in the past.

The easiest thing to do is offer an ‘opt-in’ or ‘freebie’ which is something free that your audience would find valuable. An offer they can’t refuse.

There are plenty of different routes to choose from here, including discounts and exclusive resources, workshops or eBooks. A blog is a great way to get new subscribers too by sharing highly valuable content.

Whatever you choose, just start with something simple and expand as your list grows and you’re inspired. But your email list can’t grow unless you start! So make sure to download my free “Email Follow-Up Planner” below and get started on growing your email list today!
