5 Reasons Network Marketers Need Their Own Websites

When someone asks for your website address, do you send them to the one your company provides? You know, the one every other representative from your company has.

You don’t! Come on, you don’t? Do you? Noooooo……

Having a website helps establish you as an expert in your industry, helps grow your reach and influence and showcases your achievements. In network marketing, there are so many people doing the exact same thing and having your own website will show how someone will benefit from working with YOU.

What I hear most about why someone hasn’t started their own website is because they think it’s difficult to set one up. Let me tell you, it’s not. With the right tools and guidance, you can get set up in a weekend. Don’t wait until you’ve made it to the top of your company to create your website. Start now and have it grow with you.

Below I give you 5 reasons why you should have your own network marketing website, plus download the free Canva brand board template and get started on the planning part.

Here are 5 reasons why you should have your own network marketing website:

1. It reflects and gives you control of your own personal brand

The website your company sets you up with reflects who they are and their brand. It is branded to them and not specific to you. Plus, how confusing are some of the company websites with “all the things!”

Your website gives you the ability to let people know who YOU are and what you represent. Selling a product and/or an opportunity is only a part of that.

2. It helps to set you apart from others in your industry

Not every network marketer has a personal website, which is good news because it will help set you apart from those doing the same exact thing in your industry. The network marketing industry is filled with a lot of people doing the same things, you need to stand out and show how doing business with you is different than someone else.

  • What results are people getting from working with you specifically?
  • How will working with you be different?
  • What are people saying about you and your service to them?

Your website acts as a kind of resume. It highlights your strengths and what makes you different.

You can also talk about your passions beyond your professional life. What are you passionate about when you’re not working? Do you volunteer, travel, etc?

3. It adds credibility

Having your own website is like saying…I’m in business! It shows your clients and potential clients that you mean business. You’re not just doing this as a hobby. It’s not just another one of “those” things. You know what I’m talking about!

It also tells your brain the same thing. “Hey! I’m in business and I’m going to show up, follow up and run this thing to not only take care of me and my family but to help and take care of my people.”

4. It helps you learn and show off your passion

If you are writing and educating about certain topics related to your products and opportunity, chances are you’ll be doing research. This helps you grow in your knowledge of what you do and how it can help others, plus you’ll be sharing all of this with your readers. They, in turn, get to learn from you, plus get a look at who you are, what you are passionate about, and see your personality. Bonus!

5. It will grow with you

Chances are as you grow your business, you’ll also be growing and expanding into different areas – personal and professional. You may only need a simple site when you first start out, but you can expand and change your website when you need to. The longer you’re online, the better your SEO (search engine optimization) will be, which increases your chances of getting in front of those who need what you have to offer.
